Velika Remeta ( Serb. Velika Remeta ) is a village in Serbia , in the community of Irig , in the Sremsky district of the autonomous province of Vojvodina , in the historical and geographical area of Srem . According to the 2002 census of the Serbian population, 42 inhabitants lived in the village (according to the 1991 census , 28 people).

The village is located on the southeastern slopes of the Fruschka Gora ridge, in the northeast of the community. Near the village is the Monastery of the Great Remeth , one of the 16 Frushkogorsk monasteries preserved after World War II.

Demographics

In the village of Velika-Remeta, according to the 2002 census, 37 adult residents lived, the average age of which was 52.1 years (46.6 years for men and 56.3 years for women). There are 16 households in the village, and the average number of inhabitants in households is 2.19.
