Bolshaya Khadya is a river in the Khabarovsk Territory of Russia . It originates between the Ploskaya and Gorelaya mountains [2] in the north of the Sovetsko-Gavansky district at an altitude of 1000 m [3] in the fir-fir taiga. It flows south, 10 km after the source, turns east and maintains this direction until it merges with Chipali, then turns north-east and flows into the bay of the South-Western Bay of Sovetskaya Gavan in the suburb of Sovetskaya Gavan - on the north-western outskirts of the region Sawmill-20. The mountain river, with a rocky bottom, a winding channel. One of the largest rivers on the territory of the Sovetsko-Gavansky district . The length of the river is 107 km.

Economic Use of the River
10 km upstream from the mouth of the river is the village of Gatka.
The river’s waters are planned for use by the new Sovgavanskaya CHPP , which is located in the immediate vicinity of the river [4] . The commissioning of the first phase of the CHP is scheduled for 2019 [5] .
The river is popular with residents for fishing and outdoor activities. On the shore is a children's recreation camp "Utes" and recreation center "Courchevel". In the lower reaches of the river, 5 km from the mouth, a reinforced concrete bridge (length - 130 meters) was built across the river 08А-4 Sovetskaya Gavan - Vanino, and a railway bridge (400 meters) was built half a kilometer from the shore of the bay at the mouth of the river.
