Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Cherkizovo is an Orthodox church of the Pushkin deanery of the Moscow diocese .

The temple is located in the village of Cherkizovo, Pushkin District, Moscow Region (Kedrina St., 6). The main throne is consecrated in honor of the feast of the Protection of the Holy Virgin ; chapels in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh , in honor of St. Nicholas . At the church there is a cemetery .
History
In the Soviet years, the temple did not close, although in the 1930s attempts were made by the local village council to convert the temple into a village club.
Painting
This church, striking in the beauty of its architecture, reflected in the waters of Klyazma, has always inspired artists to create paintings. Pokrovsky temple is captured by artists Yu. Vrublevsky, V. Chulovich and many other artists. In 1911 - 1912, several postcards were issued with views of Cherkizovo and the Intercession Church. Now, children from art schools and students from colleges at the open air also come here.
