A screen (from German Schirm “protection”) is an element of the interior , a small portable partition that separates part of the room , for example, for changing clothes. The first screen partitions appeared in China.
They are used in the interior of bedrooms, dressing rooms, children's rooms, studio apartments [1] . It can be used to divide the space of a room into two not completely isolated - for example, to separate the kitchen from the dining room or wardrobe in the bedroom .
In the art of Japan and China, the screen was also a popular surface for drawing .
Screens are also used in the puppet theater , behind them are puppeteers.
Typically, the screen has a folding structure and height, approximately equal to or slightly less than human height .
There are utilitarian screens, for example, medical ones , which are necessary for equipping medical facilities . Medical screens are available with a different number of sections: from one to three. Medical screens are made with fabric or plastic [2] .
