Geographical position
The village of Velikaya Rogozyanka is located on the banks of the Rogozyanka River, the Tsapovka village adjoins upstream, and the village of Gurinovka is located 2 km downstream.
History

The reliable date of the emergence of the village is unknown, but in the royal letter written in 1703, the village is called Razinka, later it was renamed the Great Rogozianka.
According to the data of 1864, 971 people (480 males and 491 females) lived in the proprietary village of Velikaya Rogozianka, there were 150 farm households.
As of 1914, the village was the center of the Rogozian volost of the Kharkov district of the Kharkov province of the Russian Empire , the number of inhabitants increased to 3,720 people.
During the Great Patriotic War on October 19, 1941, the village was occupied by the advancing German troops , in 1943 it was liberated by Soviet troops.

Origin of title
- The name comes from the Rogozianka River, which flows throughout the entire settlement.
- There is also a legend about the origin of the name. Two brothers lived, one was older than the other. Their last name was Rogozianka. They two founded the village. The eldest is the Great Rogozyanka, the youngest is the Malaya Rogozyanka.
