Jos van Gent , or Justus van Gent , actually Jos van Wassenhove (Joos van Wassenhove) - a Dutch artist who worked in the second half of the XV century .

Biography
Born in the Antwerp area. He studied in Ghent , worked there with Hugo van der Gus . Mentioned in documents from 1460 to 1475. In the work of this artist, the traditions of Dutch and Italian painting were combined. The main work of van Gent, performed by him before moving to Italy in 1471, is the “Triptych of the Crucifixion” in the Cathedral of St. Bavon (Ghent).
Justus van Gent was invited by the Duke of Urban Federigo da Montefeltro to decorate the Palazzo Ducale . Together with Pedro Berruget, he writes a series of portraits of famous people for the studios of the Duke of Urbinsky.
