Village History
According to the monograph of N.F. Emelyanov, the village was founded in 1782. The 1926 census documents indicate an even earlier date for the emergence of the village of Melnikov on the Mundrov River - 1616.
At the end of the 18th century, there were 15 courtyards in the area of cedar. After the abolition of serfdom 10 years before the Stolypin reform, the settlement grew 2 times, and in 1895, 161 people lived here.
By this time there were mills on Mundrov, to which peasants brought grain from all over the district. Near the mills stood another 5-6 huts.
Before the revolution, and after it, in the vicinity of Melnikov one could meet the "Kireev wolves" - convicts on the run.
During the civil war and during the years of reprisals, the Mundrovy coast at the mills, cedar, Bogorodsky forest, the taiga between Bogorodsky and Nakhalovka became even more dangerous places for a lone traveler: a new category of criminals appeared, or as they were called in those days, “bandits”, from the number of participants in peasant riots who fled from Soviet power. Hungry, having lost all hope of the old, habitual way of life, they ruled on the right and the guilty.
In those difficult years, 62 yards were built in Melnikovo, in which 308 people lived. Most of the female population in the thirties worked at the sushzavod, which was built in 1932 and specialized in the manufacture of “dried bread” (briquettes from dried potatoes), which went to the northern regions, by military personnel, prisoners.
Apparently, the previous part of the story relates to the village of Shegarskoe (colloquially known as Shegarka) (which is now known as Staraya Shegarka and is located 6 km from Melnikov), because in 1938, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR p. Shegarskoe renamed in with. Melnikovo [4] .
Over time, the drying plant was reorganized into a food factory, which began to produce starch, jelly, sparkling water, pickled cucumbers, mushrooms. They made jam, made sausages, stews, etc.
In the 1990s, the food factory was almost completely destroyed.
The pride of the area is the Heroes of Socialist Labor . In 1947, farmers in the link of N. P. Volynkin from the Molot collective farm received 33.2 centners of rye and 30.9 centners of wheat per hectare. The link of V. A. Gryazev received a little less grain. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 31, 1948, both were awarded the high titles of Heroes of Socialist Labor. Twenty years later, the same high award was received by the foreman of the tractor brigade of the collective farm named after the 50th anniversary of the Great October Revolution ( Batkat village) N.I. Malkov. The full holder of the Order of Glory was returned from World War II by Mikhail Andreevich Plyut .
Yuri Anatolyevich Khardikov was born in the village - a Russian businessman and politician, a former prefect of the Northern Administrative District of Moscow in the rank of Minister of the Government of Moscow (2007-2009), an honorary power engineer of the Russian Federation, honored worker of RAO UES of Russia, a member of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation, candidate of economic sciences.
