Virus is the first album recorded with the new drummer Reidar Horghagen, who, in addition to Hypocrisy , also plays in the black metal band Immortal , and the second guitarist Andres Holma. A video was shot for the song “Scrutinized”.
The thirteenth song of the bonus DVD was recorded in Strasbourg during the 2004 tour, in support of Cannibal Corpse , this is a cover of Destruction's “Total Disaster” song.
