Mario Nicasio Sanabria ( Spanish: Mario Nicasio Zanabria ; October 1, 1948, Santa Fe ) is an Argentinean footballer and football coach . He acted as a midfielder . He played for the clubs “ Union” (Santa Fe) , “ Newells Old Boys ”, “ Boca Juniors ”, “ Argentinos Juniors ” and “ Hurricane ”. Sanabria is the goal scorer leading Newells Old Boys to win Argentina's first ever championship club in 1974. For the national team of Argentina, he spent 4 matches and scored 2 goals.

Career
Mario Sanabria began his career in the youth club “ Union” (Santa Fe) . From the age of 19 he began to act as the basis of the team, and in 1968 he left, together with the club in the Example of the Argentinean championship . In 1970, Sanabria moved to Newell's Old Boys . And in 1974 he won the championship of Argentina with the club, from the same season he was elected captain of the team. In the last match of the championship, he scored a decisive goal against Rosario Central , a principal rival to Newells Old Boys, who brought his team victory in the tournament. In 1975, he moved to the Boca Juniors club, and the next year won the Argentina championship, in the final of which the River Plate was beaten. With the club, he twice won the Libertadores Cup , and also won the Intercontinental Cup . In 1981, he moved to Argentinos Juniors , and the next year returned to Boca. But there he stayed only for a year and moved to Huracan , where he ended his career. In total, in the championship of Argentina, he played 498 matches and scored 78 goals.
Sanabria began his coaching career with Boke Juniors in 1986. But he took only 5th place with the club, although he won in the qualifying tournament for the Libertadores Cup. After that, he worked as an assistant at the club, until 1992, until he headed the Mexican Atlas , but spent only 1 year there. In 1993, he led the Ecuadorian Emelek , winning the Ecuador Championship with the club. But he was fired after he could not bring the club to the Copa Libertadores. In 1996, Sanabria coached the Newells Old Boys club, with which he took 3rd place in Aperture , competing with River Plate and Union until the last rounds. Then he led the Union and Lanus . In 2001, Sanabria coached the Taglieres , and brought him first to the Mercosur Cup , where he reached the quarter finals, and then to the Libertadores Cup. After that, he again went to Mexico, where he coached Queretaro , but achieved with the club only 3 victories in 12 matches, with 6 defeats and was quickly fired. In 2004, Sanabria led Veles Sarsfield , but was unable to fulfill the goal - to bring the team to continental tournaments, and at the end of the season he was fired. At the end of 2007, Sanabria headed the Honduran club Real Espana , the champion of the country last year, and took second place with the club.
