Pre-War Biography
Uzeyir Abduramanovich Abduramanov was born on March 12 (25), 1916 in the village of Kashik-Degirmen of the Simferopol district of the Tauride province (now the village of Novoandreevka, Simferopol district , Republic of Crimea ), but other sources indicate a different place of birth - the village of Dzhaga-Mamysh (now Sukhorechye) located in the neighborhood ) - in the Crimean Tatar family.
After graduating from the factory factory school in 1933 , Uzeyir Abduramanov worked as a culinary specialist , and then deputy chairman of the transport and horse-drawn artel in Simferopol .
Uzeyir Abduramanov was called up to the Red Army in 1939 . [2]
Participation in the Great Patriotic War
On the fronts of World War II Uzeyir Abduramanov since 1941 . He took part in the battle of Stalingrad .
During the fighting in the vicinity of the village of Novye Tereshkovichi ( Gomel district , Gomel region , Belorussian SSR ) in September 1943, the foreman Uzeyir Abduramanov’s branch made it possible to cross the Sozh River . After the mission was successfully completed, only three of the 17 soldiers survived. Earlier, the foreman Abduramanov proved his heroism and selflessness when crossing the Desna River . [2]
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1944, Petty Officer Uzeir Abduramanovich Abduramanov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for the exemplary performance of combat missions of the command on the front of the struggle against Nazi invaders and displayed courage and heroism.
Postwar Biography
On May 18, 1944, the Crimean Tatars were deported . She also touched the family of Uzeyir Abduramanov. After the war, having retired, he was expelled after his family to the Uzbek SSR . Later, in the same year, in the Ogonyok newspaper, in an article that included his photograph in the gallery of Heroes of the Soviet Union (all of different nationalities), his nationality was incorrect: it was written that he was supposedly Azerbaijani , and not Crimean Tatar [2 ] [3] .
In 1948, the Hero was invited to return to his homeland. Allowed to take with them only their closest relatives.
According to the information of the son of Abduramanov, his grandfather finally stopped him, saying that having done this the other relatives may die, as they critically need help. Afterwards, the grandfather asked the Hero of the Union why to go to Crimea, if there was not a single Crimean Tatar left. Uzeyir understood that you should not leave your people and relatives.
He helped out many relatives, including his nephews - thanks to his high official rank, the Abduramanov family was released from many repressive laws aimed at the Crimean Tatars, including the curfew regime, the inability to move to other cities and some others.
By the end of the 1950s, he became a member of the national movement of the Crimean Tatars. He participated in meetings and in various kinds of protests. He flew to Moscow as one of the representatives of the people. Often, his associates gathered at his house, after which he very often was summoned to the KGB for interrogation. [four]
In 1962 he moved to the city of Navoi , worked at a uranium plant. He died there on January 19, 1991 [2] .
