Biography
During the war he was evacuated [1] . Since 1944, having returned to Lodeynoye Pole [1] , he worked as a loading and unloading machine operator at the 5th Leningrad Power Station [3] , and as a tractor crew member at the Sunsk Machine-Building Station ( Kirov Region ) [4] . In 1947 he joined the CPSU (b) [5] . Since 1951, having graduated from the special faculty of the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute [3] , he worked as an engineer at the enterprises of the defense industry [6] , secretary of the party committee of the Research Institute of Electrophysical Equipment [1] [7] in Leningrad ; Candidate of Technical Sciences [6] .
Since 1962 - at party work: deputy head of the defense industry department [2] of the city committee and regional committee, 1st secretary of the Oktyabrsky district party committee (Leningrad, 1969-1972) [1] [8] , secretary of the Leningrad city committee of the CPSU (1972); Secretary (1972-1978), Second Secretary (1978-1980) of the Leningrad Regional Committee of the CPSU [6] .
From November 1980 to December 22, 1983 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Leningrad Regional Council [1] [5] .
From December 16, 1983 [K 2] to August 10, 1989 - the first secretary of the Vladimir Regional Committee of the CPSU [9] .
In the late 1990s, he worked as the department head at the North-West Association [6] .
He was elected as a deputy (from Leningrad ) of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of the IX convocation (1975-1980 [10] , was chairman of the Industry Commission of the Supreme Council from 07.15.1975 to 02.2.1980 [11] ); deputy of the Council of the Union of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 10th (1979-1984, from the Leningrad region) [12] and 11th (1984-1989, from the Vladimir region ) [13] convocations. Delegate XXV (1976) [14] , XXVI (1981) [15] and XXVII Congresses of the CPSU (1986) [16] . Member of the Central Auditing Commission of the CPSU (1976-1981) [14] , candidate for membership in the Central Committee of the CPSU (1981-1990) [15] [16] .
He was buried in the Smolensk Orthodox Cemetery [6] .
