Svetlana Nikolaevna Misery (born September 4, 1933 , Moscow ) is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, director. People's Artist of the RSFSR ( 1980 ) [1] . Laureate of the USSR State Prize ( 1977 ) and the RSFSR State Prize named after K. S. Stanislavsky ( 1972 ).

Biography
Svetlana Misery was born in Moscow; in 1955 she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio (course of A. M. Karev ) [2] . In the same year she was accepted into the troupe of the Art Theater , where she made her debut as Nadia in Gorky's “Enemies”, but already in 1956 she moved to the newly created Sovremennik and for several years was one of the theater’s leading actresses, became in particular, the first performer of the role of Veronica in the play by V. Rozov “ Eternally Alive ”.
In 1959, Svetlana Misery moved to the Theater. Mayakovsky , where she served until 1980; among the best roles played on this scene are Valya in the “Irkutsk History” by A. N. Arbuzov , Lyudmila in the play by S. A. Naydenov “ Children of Vanyushin ”, Stella in the “Tram“ Desire “” by Tennessee Williams . In 1980-1990 she performed on the stage of the Theater. A.S. Pushkin .
In 1990, Svetlana Miseri moved to the "Participation" theater, in which she still serves. She staged the performances "Pig Knock" (2006) and "Provincial" (2009). Played about 50 roles.
