History
In July 1996, on the basis of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports, the Committee on Minors, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Committee on Women, Maternity and Childhood, and the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Ukraine for Family and Youth was established by decree of the President of Ukraine. After a number of reorganizations since 1999 - the State Committee of Ukraine for Family and Youth. In 2000 - the State Committee of Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism of Ukraine.
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated November 22, 2001 No. 1132 with the aim of implementing an effective holistic state social policy aimed at improving the situation of families, youth and children, the activities of the State Committee of Ukraine on Family and Youth are resumed, which acts in accordance with the Regulations approved by Presidential Decree Of Ukraine of April 15, 2002, No. 340.
In order to improve the implementation of the basic tasks of the state policy of Ukraine on family, children and youth, the constitutional duty of the state regarding the protection of the family, children, motherhood and fatherhood, ensuring the social formation and development of young people, and in accordance with paragraph 15 of article 106 of the Constitution, the President of Ukraine signed a decree on the transformation of the State Committee of Ukraine on Family and Youth Affairs in the Ministry of Ukraine on Family, Children and Youth.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 26, 2005 No. 381/2005 “On the Ministry of Ukraine for Youth and Sports”, the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Children and Youth, and the State Committee of Ukraine for Physical Culture and Sports was reorganized into the Ministry of Ukraine for youth affairs and sports.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 18, 2005 No. 1176 “On the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sport”, the Ministry of Ukraine for Youth and Sport was renamed the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sport.
December 9, 2010 reorganized into the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine .
