Biography

Born in Baku on July 6, 1938 in the family of the People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR Konstantin Nikolayevich Batashov ( January 31, 1918 -?) - Soviet dancer, choreographer , teacher, leading soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.F. Akhundova [1] .


1947 - 1957 - music school at BODO ("House of Officers") in Baku (teacher - T. L. Melik-Pashaeva).

1956 - 1958 - AzGK (composer faculty, class of D. I. Gadzhiev)

1959 - 1962 - transferred to the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Theater . The composition class of Professor E. K. Golubev [2] During the training received elevated and nominal scholarships. He graduated from the conservatory with honors.

1965 - graduated with honors from graduate school. Member of the USSR SK ( 1965 ).

Teaching activities

C 1962 - teaches essay at the Merzlyakovsky school

C 1963 (break 1967-1971) - teaches at the composer’s department (since 1997, the composer’s faculty) of the Moscow Conservatory (course "Polyphony and analysis of musical form", since 1972 - essay course).

Since 1988 - Associate Professor; Since 1993 - Professor at the Moscow Conservatory.

He released over 60 composers - students of the conservatory and graduate students. Among the students are V. Grachev, I. M. Krasilnikov , M. Kollontai, A. Koblyakov, A. Raskatov , K. Umansky.

  • Suite No. 2 for bassoon and piano (1975)
  • Symphony No. 2 "Kiev" (1982)
  • Vocal cycle to the words of Makhtumkuli for baritone and piano (1983)
  • Concert for the choir "Nonsense" (1989)
  • Compositions for various instruments and instrumental ensembles (concert and pedagogical)
