Friedrich Nicholas Manskopf ( German: Friedrich Nicolas Manskopf ; April 25, 1869 - July 2, 1928 ) is a German collector.

From a family of wine merchants. From school, he began to collect concert programs, portraits of musicians, autographs, etc. With particular intensity turned to collecting during foreign trips, including during his stay in London ( 1889 - 1890 ) and Paris ( 1891 - 1893 ), As a result, by 1894 , when Manskopf returned to Frankfurt , his collection totaled about 30,000 units. Manskopf turned his house into a private museum, guided tours of it, organized solo exhibitions dedicated to such musicians as Mozart , Beethoven , Paganini , Liszt , Brahms , Verdi , Caruso . Items from the Manskopf collection were provided for participation in major international exhibitions dedicated to music and theater, in particular, in 1896 in Paris, in 1897 in Bergamo , in 1900 in London.
After the death of Manskopf, his heirs transferred the collection to the ownership of the city of Frankfurt. Since 1947 , she has been a member of the Frankfurt University Library Fund. To date, the collection contains about 12,500 photographs of musicians, about 4,900 printed prints, about 20,000 portraits cut from newspapers and magazines, and about 1,000 caricatures. A significant part of the collection is presented in digitized form on the library website. In 1978 , an exhibition was held in the library dedicated to Manskopf and his collection, and a catalog was published.
