Quando Cubano [2] ( port. Cuando-Cubango ) - province [3] in Angola . The area of the province is 199 049 km² [4] . The administrative center is the city of Menongue . The province got its name on the rivers Kwando and Kubango , flowing respectively in its eastern and western parts.

Content
Geography
The province of Cuando Cubango is located in the extreme south-east of Angola. In the north and northeast of it is the province of Moxico , in the west - the province of Huila and Cunene , in the north-west of the province of Bie . In the south, Kando-Cubango is the state border of Angola with Namibia , in the east - the state border of Angola and Zambia .
History
During the civil war in Angola, the province of Kwando Cubango was the base of support for the UNITA anti-government forces . The city of Jamba was the military capital of Jonas Savimbi .

As of 2014, the population of the province was 510,369 people [1] .
