Assar Lindbeck ( Swede. Assar Lindbeck ; born January 26, 1930 ) is a Swedish economist and artist. The representative of the new Keynesianism .

He studied at the University of Uppsala; PhD of Stockholm University (1963). From 1971 to 1995, L. served as a professor of international economics at Stockholm University and director of the International Institute for International Economics Studies (Stockholm). As a visiting professor he taught at Columbia (1968-1969) and Yale (1976-1977) universities. Winner of the Frank Seidman and B. Harms Awards (1996).
