History
The village of Verkhny Turov (Turochki Vyzhny, Turochka Stuposyanskaya, Turochka Regalis) was founded above the tributary of the r. Yablonka - by the Skolaban stream in 1556 on the basis of the privilege of Queen Isabella [1] . The first wooden church in V.Turov was built at the beginning of the XVIII century. Nearby, on the site of a courtyard chapel, in 1890, the church of St. Panteleimon of the Latinized type was built. It contains the liturgical books of the 18th century and the iconostasis of the beginning of the 20th century. To the west of the church stands a wooden two-tier bell tower, built simultaneously with the church, near which there is a cemetery. In the village, almost all the houses were built of wood, the traditional wooden Boykov building and fences of the beginning of the 20th century, old bridges, many roadside chapels and crosses are preserved.
