Striped city-dwelling [1] , or zebra-striped city-dwelling [2] ( lat. Geopelia striata ) is a bird of the pigeon family .

Description
The back and wings of the throat are brownish, the bottom is light, the “face”, throat and top of the neck are gray. Throughout the body, except for the head, dark transverse streaks are developed. It inhabits open spaces with rare plants, cultivated landscapes and suburban gardens. Often nests in coastal vegetation. The nest is located on trees at a low height.
Range
Distributed in South and Southeast Asia and northern Australia . In the XIX century, it was introduced to Madagascar , Hawaiian Islands , St. Helena , Reunion , Mauritius , Seychelles and other places where it reproduces well.
