Content
Story
The film has three stories about one drawing, separated by three centuries. One story takes place in the nineteenth century. In a large family home, a middle-aged man constantly talks with his dead wife and acts as if they are living together. The older brother, who lived with him in the same house, worries about his brother's condition and asks his family friend, the famous psychiatrist, for help. The psychiatrist arrives to make a diagnosis, but after meeting and talking with the patient, he decides that he does not need medical attention. In gratitude, the patient gives the doctor a drawing of his wife, “Two Owls”. A second story develops during World War II. The Soviet general is found dead in the apartment of his mistress. She also finds the “Two Owls” drawing that belonged to her family. The hero of the third short story is a modern urban guy and he commits an act alien to his morality. His girlfriend's family finds a painting that they got from their grandmother, but the real owner is not interested in these family stories and he does not want to sell them a drawing. The young man decides to steal the canvas for her.
