Biography
Anatoly Poletaev was born on February 13, 1936 (according to other sources - December 6, 1935 [2] ) in Voronezh .
He graduated from music school and college in Voronezh, in 1959 - Music and Pedagogical Institute. The Gnesins (now the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music in Moscow in the class of accordion and conducting with N. Ya. Chaikin and in 1967 completed his education at the graduate school of the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory also with N. Ya. Chaikin.
Since 1955 - an artist of the Moskontsert , toured the cities of the Soviet Union and abroad as a soloist-accordionist and as a conductor. The repertoire includes Russian and foreign classics, works of Soviet composers, and folk songs.
In 1968-1978, and since 1980 - artistic director and chief conductor of the Boyan State Academic Russian Concert Orchestra founded by him.
In 1978-1979 - chief conductor of the State Academic Russian Folk Orchestra named after N.P. Osipova . The head of the vocal folklore ensembles "Russian Song" (since 1975), "Vesnyanka" (since 1980).
He gained fame as a composer. His works are included in the repertoire of other famous artists and groups.
Conducts teaching activities. In 1960-1962 he taught at the Musical Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins. Professor of Moscow State University of Culture .
Member of the jury of several prestigious competitions.
Member of the Union of Composers of Russia . Vice President of the International Slavic Academy. Full member of the Academy of Basic Sciences (Moscow).
The author of the book “Five-fingered fingering on the button accordion. Right Fingering ”(1962), methodological works, as well as a number of articles. Compiled music collections for ready-button accordion.
Lives in Moscow.
