Biography
Born on September 17 (29), 1896 in the village of Mustafino (now - Sharlyk district, Orenburg region , Russia ) in the family of a poor peasant [2] [3] .
At the age of 7 he was given to study at a madrasa . In 1906, famine broke out due to drought in the village, which forced the family of Khalil to move to Orenburg .
After beginning in 1914, World War I was drafted into the Tsarist Army . During the war he visited Königsberg , Warsaw , Baranavichy . For bravery in battles he was awarded the St. George Medal , and later the St. George Cross of the 4th degree. In 1916 , after receiving a heavy wound to the right shoulder, he was in the hospital. Demobilized after injury [4] .
He began his stage activity in 1916 in the Tatar drama troupe “Shirkat” ( Orenburg ). In 1919 - one of the founders of the Tatar "Oriental Theater" in Orenburg. During the Civil War , being an actor and director of this theater, he organized a front-line troupe, traveled to the front line, spoke to fighters of the Red Army . In 1920-1923 he participated in the organization of Uzbek theaters in Tashkent , Bukhara and Khiva . In 1923–24 he worked in the Astrakhan Tatar Drama Theater.
In 1924 - 1928, he was filmed at the “Shark Yulduzi” (“Star of the East”) film factory of the Uzbekgoskino Trust (now Uzbekfilm , Tashkent ).
Since 1928 - actor of the Tatar Academic Theater. G. Kamala ( Kazan ).
In 1941 - 1953 - Chairman of the Board of the Tatar branch of the All-Russian Theater Society .
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1944 . Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Tatar ASSR 2-4 convocations (1947-1959).
Died March 18, 1963 in Kazan from a heart attack. He was buried at the Tatar cemetery in the Novo-Tatar settlement of Kazan [5] .
