Biography
Born in the family of a craftsman. He studied at the Baku Russian real school.
- 1882 - the beginning of stage activity, Baku Russian Theater
- 1886 - goes to the Armenian scene
- 1913 - awarded the Order of Leo and the Sun of the 1st degree.
- Since 1918 - Chairman of the Union of Artists ( Tiflis )
- 1925 - joined the troupe of the 1st State Theater of Armenia in Yerevan (now the Armenian Theater named after Sundukyan ).
- In 1932 (the 50th anniversary of creative activity), he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Armenian SSR, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR and the title Hero of Labor
Organized and led troupes for tours. He performed in Baku , Tiflis , Ukraine , Central Asia and other cities of Russia, as well as abroad - in Turkey , Iran , Egypt , Germany , France , England , the USA ( 1908 - 1910 , 1913 , 1920 - 1925 ).
