Rannoch Moor ( English Rannoch Moor ) - marshy, heather-covered plain in Scotland in the areas of Perth and Kinross and Highland . An area of about 78 km². Once the plain was part of the Caledonian Forest , and now its surface is covered with numerous small lakes, streams and peat bogs.
