Alexandru Dimitrie Xenopol ( rum. Alexandru Dimitrie Xenopol ; March 23, 1847 , Iasi - February 27, 1920 , Bucharest ) is a Romanian historian , writer , philosopher, teacher and sociologist of Anglo-Saxon origin. The elder brother of the politician and writer Nicolae Xenopol [1] . Member of the Romanian Academy (since 1895 ).
