Time 100

Time 100 is a list of the hundred most influential people of the year according to the American magazine Time .

History

The list is selected by a panel of scientists and published since 1999, when a list of the most prominent personalities of the 20th century was published. The annual list has been published since 2004 .

The persons selected in the list are divided into 5 categories:

20th Century List

In June 1999, a list of the most significant personalities of the 20th century was published: Time 100: Heroes and Idols of the 20th Century ( TIME 100: Heroes & Icons of the 20th Century ). The candidates were selected by a panel of American historians, journalists, and politicians.
