List of episodes of the television series "Babylon 5"

Babylon 5 ( Babylon 5 ) is a science fiction television series created and produced by Joseph Michael Strazinsky . In the center of the plot is the Babylon 5 space station , built as a place for diplomatic purposes, maintaining peace between space civilizations, trade and joint activities. The series has won several awards, including two Hugo awards for best dramatic production ^[1] ^[2] ^[3] .

The television series was produced by Babylonian Productions label, in collaboration with Synthetic Worlds Ltd. and Warner Bros. Domestic Television . After the successful release on February 22, 1993 ^{[4] of} the 89-minute ^[5] pilot film “Babylon 5: Fees”, it was decided to produce the series ^[6] ^[7] . From January 26, 1994 to November 25, 1998, 5 seasons of 22 episodes were shown — 110 episodes in total, the average duration of which was 45 minutes ^[8] . Initially, the series was broadcast on the PTEN channel, and then, after the close of PTEN in 1997, on the cable channel TNT ^[9] . After the main series ended, six films and one spin-off series, Crusade, were released.

Kosh , the ambassador of Vorlon , was seriously injured in the attempt, immediately after arriving at the station. The only suspect is Commander Jeffrey Sinclair .

The pilot series was shown in two versions: in the original version in 1993 (via the PTEN channel) and in the revised version, with the subtitle “Special edition”, in 1998 (via the TNT channel). The pilot film was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Performance in 1994 ^[14] .

Episode List

Conceived from the very beginning as a five-year story ^[15] , the series was created by Joseph Michael Strazinski , he, together with Douglas Netter, acted as executive producer. The screenwriter for most episodes is also Strazhinsky, and invited screenwriters, among whom were Peter David , Neil Gaiman , Catherine M. Drennan , Larry DiTillo , D.S. Fontana And David Gerrold worked within the strict framework of the overall plot to preserve the character of all the characters conceived by the creator of the series ^[16] . In order for the withdrawal of the actors from the series not to harm the overall plot arch , ways of removing their characters from the plot, which were used several times ^[17] ^[18] , were thought out.

Each season of the series has its own name associated with the key theme of the episode ^[19] . In addition to the name, each season has its own opening credits and its own main musical theme ^[20] .

Season 1. Prophecies and Predictions (Signs and Portents)

It was the dawn of the third era of humanity. Ten years have passed since the Earth’s war with the Minbar. The Babylon project has become the embodiment of our dreams. Its purpose is to prevent a new war through a place where people and aliens could peacefully resolve their disputes. Far from home, he became home to diplomats, adventurers, businessmen, and wanderers. Humans and aliens in the shell of two and a half million tons of rotating metal, alone in the darkness of space. It is sometimes unsafe here, but this is our last hope for peace. This is the story of the last station of the Babylon series. Action time: 2258 year. Venue: "Babylon 5".

It was the dawn of the third age of mankind - ten years after the Earth-Minbari War. The Babylon Project was a dream, given form. Its goal: to prevent another war, by creating a place where humans and aliens can work out their differences peacefully. It's a port of call - home away from home - for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and wanderers. Humans and aliens, wrapped in two million, five hundred thousand tons of spinning metal ... all alone in the night. It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last best hope for peace. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is Babylon 5.

Действие сериала происходит в 2267 году, через несколько лет после событий, описанных в сериале « Вавилон-5 » и сразу после событий, показанных в фильме « Вавилон-5: Призыв к оружию ».
