Story
Camilla ( Pascal Bussiere ) works as a teacher at a Christian college. Her fiancé, Martin ( Henry Czerny ), also teaches. As a result of an accident, Camilla's dog dies. The girl, unable to restrain her feelings, cries in a public laundry, which attracts Petra's attention ( Rachel Crawford ). Petra sympathizes with Camilla's grief, helps her pack things from a vending machine.
At home, Camilla discovers that she mistakenly took the things of Petra. She goes to look for her and finds in a traveling circus, which stopped in the city, where Petra works as one of the participants in performances. In the conversation, it turns out that Petra purposely changed things to meet Camilla again. Camille is amazed at Petra's openly expressed feelings and quickly leaves. But now Petra is sent to look for Camille.
The acquaintance continues and gradually Camilla falls in love with an open, cheerful Petra. This causes a sharp internal struggle in her soul, where the religious consciousness is confronted with awakened feelings, which leads her to statements about a more tolerant attitude of the church towards homosexuality.
Camilla breaks with the groom, colleagues also do not understand her. An acute crisis leads to a suicide attempt, but it can be saved. Having quit his job, Camilla leaves with the circus, deciding to stay with her beloved.
