“ Bronze street ” is a literary award for the best science fiction works published in Russian during the year. It was handed over annually in the city of St. Petersburg from 1992 to 2012. The award was established by Andrey Nikolayev and Alexander Sidorovich in 1992. The prototype of the award was the Boris Strugatsky Prize presented in 1991.
The prize was awarded in several categories: for the best fantastic publication of a large form ( novel ), medium form ( novel ), small form ( story , short story ), as well as for the best critical journalistic work devoted to the problems of science fiction.
The chairman and sole member of the jury was Boris Strugatsky, so this award is “the most subjective” of the prizes of Russian fiction [1] .
