History
The church was built in 1321 by order of Prince Syunik Tarsaich Orbelian according to the project of architect Momik . In 1840, the dome of the building collapsed, and with it part of the unique reliefs and drawings perished. Nevertheless, some of them were preserved in sails . Here are the symbols of the evangelists - an angel, an eagle, a winged bull and a lion. Moreover, they are located so that their wide wings fill the sails, turning the plane into a graphic drawing.
