Street position
Panfilov Street starts from Alabyana Street , continuing on Sorge Street . The street passes to the north parallel to the tracks of the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway , located on the left. On the right, Panfilov Street is adjacent to Levitan and Vrubel streets. The street ends with an intersection with the Volokolamsk highway , beyond which it turns into Konstantin Tsaryov street .
History
Earlier, in the area of Panfilov Street there was the Big All Saints Grove . In 1908, the line of the Okruzhny railroad passed here and the station Serebryny Bor was opened.
Panfilova Street appeared in the early 1950s during the active development of the surrounding areas. Then a block of 17 buildings of Stalinist high-rise buildings was built between the streets of Panfilov and Levitan. The authors of the development project are 3. Rosenfeld, N. Shvets, and A. Bolonov [1] . In 1952, school No. 693 was opened on the street. It is located in a building constructed according to the standard project of L. A. Stepanova (since 1976 there has been a culinary technical school there).
Origin of title
In 1953, the street was given the name of 2nd Street Levitan (along the street Levitan, located next to). May 9, 1960 was renamed in memory of Ivan Vasilyevich Panfilov (1893-1941) - military leader, Hero of the Soviet Union . During the Great Patriotic War, commanded the 316th Infantry Division , which defended the approaches to Moscow on the Volokolamsk direction. He died in battle on November 16, 1941, in the area of the Dubosekovo junction . [2]

- The Serebryanny Bor station of the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway, 1903-1908, architect A. N. Pomerantsev , engineers L. D. Proskuryakov , S. Kareisha, P. Ya. Kamentsev, P. Rashevsky [3] . In 2016, the ISC Panfilovskaya station was opened, named after the street.

Transportation
As a result of the implementation of the “ Big Leningradka ” project, the buses began to follow a one-way ring, as a result of which the transport communication on the street was restored and a stop “Panfilova Street 16” was assigned.
