Alfred Rupert Sheldrake ( born June 28, 1942 ) is a British writer, biochemist, plant physiologist and parapsychologist who put forward the theory of the morphogenetic field. The ideas of Sheldrake by the scientific community are evaluated as pseudoscientific [1] [2] [3] .

In Cambridge, he received a Ph.D. in biochemistry.
Rupert Sheldrake was a researcher at the Royal Society, and then went to India , where he took up the position of chief plant physiologist at the International Agricultural Research Institute for Crops in a semi-arid tropical zone.
Theory of morphogenetic resonance
Sheldrake morphogenetic fields are hypothetical fields that organize the development of structures in the material world. Once it has arisen, such a structure, according to Sheldrake, can be reproduced in similar forms in the future, while overcoming spatial delimitation. An example is the folding of a protein chain - once arising, according to Sheldrake, this structure could be reproduced with greater probability than any other.
Theory has met with sharp criticism in the natural sciences.

Impact on Art
- Morphogenetic field Jack Harkness from the series “ Torchwood ” explains the fact that on the “day of miracle” all the people of the Earth stopped dying.
- The idea of a morphogenetic field formed the basis of games:
