Flagler County - The county of Florida, United States of America . For 2000, 49,832 people lived in it. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2016 the county had a population of 108,310. [1] In terms of population growth (66.7% since 2000 ), Fledger is the fastest growing county in the United States. [2] The county seat is Bunnell .

History
Flagler County was formed in 1917 . It was named after Henry Morrison Fledger , the railroad tycoon who built the East Florida Railway .
In 1974, the amusement park Marco Polo opened in the area, but due to its loss-making it was soon closed.
In 1998, due to the threat of steppe fires, a mandatory evacuation was announced throughout the district. This was the first and still the only case in Florida when an entire county was evacuated. [3]
