Fly agaric yellow-legged ( Latin Amaníta flavípes ) is a species of fungi that belongs to the genus Amanita ( Amanita ) of the Amanitaceae family .

Description

The hat is 3-12 cm in diameter, hemispherical, opening to convex and almost flat, with a fibrous but not ribbed edge. The surface is yellowish, yellow-brown, sometimes with a grayish tint, darker in the center. In young mushrooms, it is covered with a common veil, then remaining in the form of thin yellowish warty flakes, easily separated and washed off by water.

The plates are frequent, leg-free, white or pale yellowish, there are numerous platelets.

The pedicle reaches 4–15 cm in height and 0.5–2 cm in diameter, cylindrical or thinning up, at the base with a bulbous thickening, white or yellow, covered with yellow granular scales. The remains of the common bedspread in the form of several bands in the upper part of the bulb. Ring at the top of the leg, webbed, yellowish-cream on top and yellow at the bottom.

The pulp is white or whitish.

Spore powder is white. Spores 7-9 × 5.5-7 microns, elliptical to broad ovoid, amyloid . Basidia without buckles.

Edible mushroom , often indicated as inedible due to the possibility of confusion with poisonous species.

Ecology

It forms mycorrhiza with conifers, less often grows in mixed forests.

Systematics

According to the molecular phylogenetic studies of 2004, the name Amanita flavipes refers to a whole group of species that differ both at the molecular and macroscopic levels (for example, in the color of the hat). Further studies on the isolation and differentiation of these species have not been conducted.
