Development History

Action Half-Life was created by a team of independent developers led by Dwayne Douglas. In 1999 , a year later, after the release of the original game, the first version of the modification appeared . Stable version 1.0 was preceded by several beta versions . The development of the modification lasted until 2003 , when the latest version was released.

The main goal of the developers was to introduce new features in the game aimed at increasing entertainment. In addition to several changes to the gameplay , the modification introduces some graphical improvements.

There is a more modern version of the modification for Half-Life 2 - Action Half-Life 2.

Description

Among the changes introduced by the modification is a system of tricks - various cinematic effects, such as bullet time (the implementation is similar to Max Payne game) or an effect in which a player is shown a close-up shot of a bullet flying towards the enemy and rotating in flight. It was also possible to hold two types of weapons in their hands instead of one, new types of weapons and some graphic improvements for the Half-Life engine.
