Story
June 1939 A fifteen-year-old boy named Julien arrives on summer vacation in the family estate of his parents. Julien is from a noble family, but his family is impoverished and is now forced to maintain a small guesthouse in the family castle.
As a result, a motley company is going to the estate for the summer: a crazy German professor by the name of Gnus with his daughter, "blonde beast" Lizelotta; released but still beautiful actress Clementine, who once played in films about Zorro; Julien's older sister, “ blue stocking ” Claire and her fiancé Charles; as well as two lovely cousins Julien, baby Pune and already matured Julia.
Between the heroes, several novels are tied.

Book
The film was shot based on the Tendres cousines novel by Pascal Lena published by Gallimard in 1979. In 1982, the book was published as a photo album containing 112 pages with 100 color and 38 grayscale images from the film [1] .
