Spit lion-yellow , or lion's ( lat. Pluteus leoninus ) - a mushroom from the genus Plutes of the family Plyueye . In the system of the genus Plute, S. P. Wasser belongs to the Hispidoderma section of the subgenus Hispidocelluloderma , and in E. Wellinga's system to the Hispidodermini subsection of the Celluloderma section . [1] Considered a little-known edible mushroom.

Klyuchovy spit ( P. sororiatus ) is considered a synonym, but a number of authors recognize it as an independent species, noting significant differences both in morphological features and in ecology. In this case, Pluteus luteomarginatus is considered to be synonymous with a heap pile , rather than a lion yellow. [3]

Description
A hat with a diameter of 3-6 (8) cm, from bell-shaped to flat-convex, with a small broad tubercle and a jagged, striped translucent edge. The surface near the edge is bare, velvety to the center, finely flaked, its color is described as egg-yellow or golden yellow to honey, brownish-yellow, darker in the center.
The plates are loose, wide, frequent, first whitish-yellowish, then pink, with a whitish edge. There are platelets.
4–7 × 0.3–1 cm stem , central or eccentric, cylindrical, thickened at the base, dense. The surface is smooth, whitish, yellowish to the base, golden-fibrous.
The flesh is white, on the cut does not change, under the skin of the cap is lemon yellow, the taste and smell are not pronounced.
The remains of bedspreads are absent.
Spore powder pink. Spores 6–7 × 5–6 µm, smooth, almost spherical to ovate.
The basidia are four spore, clavate, thin-walled, colorless, measuring 20-30 × 8-10 microns.
Heilocycids are bottle-shaped, thin-walled, sometimes with an apical appendage, colorless, 60–100 (110) × 20–30 µm. Pleurocystasis of various forms: spindle-shaped, club-shaped or bottle-shaped, with or without apical appendage and 1-3 hooked processes, colorless, thin-walled, 30–70 × 10–25 µm.
Hyphae thin-walled, without buckles , in the skin of the cap 8–22 microns wide, fusiform, contain yellow pigment, in the integument the legs are colorless, 5-7 microns wide. [3] [5]

For a bunch of pluteus ( Pluteus sororiatus ), S. P. Vasser provides a description that is different from the description of the plume of lion-yellow.
The overall size of the fruit bodies is somewhat larger - the diameter of the cap is up to 11 cm, the stem is up to 10 cm long. The surface of the cap is sometimes softly wrinkled. Leg whitish-pink, pink at the base, fibrous, finely striated. The plates with age become yellowish-pink, yellowish-brown with a yellowish edge. The flesh is whitish, under the skin with a grayish-yellowish tinge, sour taste. Hyphae of the peel cap located perpendicular to its surface, consist of cells measuring 80-220 × 12-40 microns. Spores 7–8 × 4.5–6.5 µm, basidia 25–30 × 7–10 µm, heilocycids 35–110 × 8–25 µm, at a young age contain a yellowish pigment, then colorless, pleurocystides 40–90 × 10 - 30 microns. It grows on the remnants of wood in coniferous forests . [3]
Ecology and distribution
Saprotrof on semi-rotten wood, grows in deciduous forests , mainly oak and beech , is rare. It is widely distributed in Europe, in Asia, known in the Transcaucasus ( Georgia , Armenia ), Israel , Western and Eastern Siberia, China , Primorsky Krai , Japan , in North Africa - in Algeria and Morocco . [3] In the European part of Russia, it was found in the Leningrad , Moscow and Samara regions. [five]
