Pleurococcus [1] ( Latin Pleurococcus ) is a genus of green algae of the family Khetoforovye ( Chaetophoraceae ) [2] .

Content
DescriptionCells spherical, single or joined in groups. Sometimes form short twigs.
The protoplast is devoid of visible vacuoles. Chloroplast single, without pyrenoids .
SpreadIt is widespread, forms green raids on trees, rocks and soil. Able to tolerate complete drying. The pleurococcus grows on the north side of the tree and can be guided by it if it gets lost.
