Upper Cotto ( Fr. Haute-Kotto ; Sango Sêse tî kömändâ-kötä tî Tö-Kötö ) is a prefecture in the east of the Central African Republic .

Geography
It borders in the east with Upper Mbomu Prefecture , in the south with Mbombou Prefecture and a small part with Lower Cotto Prefecture, in the west with Uaka Prefecture, in the north with Bambingi-Bangoran and Wakaga Prefectures , in the northeast - with Sudan and South Sudan .
This is the largest province in the country. In the northern part of the prefecture, along the border with Wakaga Prefecture lies the Bongo mountain range. In the northeast, on the border with Sudan, is Mount Aburassin with a height of 1,113 meters . Through the entire territory of Upper Cotto, the Cotto River flows from the north-east to the south-west. On it, in the southwestern part of the prefecture, is also its administrative center, the city of Bria.
