According to one of the first researchers of this historical and architectural monument G. A. Pugachenkova [1], the outer tent-shaped dome of a pyramidal shape on a high 12-sided drum is typical for the structures of the steppe nomads. According to the scientist: “ ... they seem to imitate the native lands of Tolebiya , the mountain peaks of the Tien Shan and Alatau . [...] The origin of the shape of the tent mausoleums is connected with the old-age funerary customs of the peoples inhabiting the northern regions of Central Asia , which explains the amazing durability of this form in them, which was used recently in the gravestones of the Kyrgyz and Kazakhs . ”
