Biography
The representative of the ancient Karachai village of Khurzuk, the youngest and only brother of four sisters. His father died when he was not even a year old. He spent his childhood and youth in Kislovodsk, where he graduated from high school with a gold medal. Then he entered the Industrial Institute in Tbilisi and was immediately drafted into the army. Member of the Soviet-Finnish War, World War II. He was an artillery officer, was awarded many military awards, a member of the defense of Stalingrad, battles on the Kursk Bulge. He completed the war, liberating Poland. In the post-war period, he was deported together with the Karachai people to Central Asia. He graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers. He was an active participant in the movement for the return of repressed peoples to their homeland.
He graduated from the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU.
- 1939-1945 in the Red Army.
- 1957-1965 - Secretary of the Karachay City Committee of the CPSU, chairman of the Karachay-Cherkess Regional Planning Commission.
- 1965-1979 - Chairman of the Karachay-Cherkess Oblast Executive Committee,
- 1979-1989 - Deputy Chairman of the Trade Representation of the USSR in Poland.
Since 1989, retired.
