Story
After the assassination attempt on the president, the US government blames Venezuela and carries out an air strike on Caracas . After some time, a secret report falls into the hands of the well-known journalist Rachel Armstrong ( Kate Beckinsale ), from which it follows that there is no evidence of a connection between the attempt and Venezuela. Rachel’s sensational article draws public attention primarily to the author of the report - secret agent Eric Van Doren ( Vera Farmiga ). However, the authorities are worried by another: who revealed the CIA agent? Who leaked the information? In order to find out the name of the “traitor,” special prosecutor Patton Dubois ( Matt Dillon ) appears, threatening Rachel to bring to trial for refusing to extradite the name of the source “in the interests of national security”. However, the journalist is not going to give up and intends to stand her ground to the end.
