Content
Creation History
The OKB-15 was created in a short time together with OKB-16 on the basis of the wing and turret versions of the ShVAK-20 air cannon [3] [4] . First, in the OKB-15 on the instructions of the NCU about installing ShVAK in the turret of the T-40 tank in July 1941. On August 4, 20-mm and 23-mm guns were shot in the OKB-16, according to the positive results of which, albeit with massive failures, tank 20 -mm gun transferred to the development in the OKB-15 where it is brought to the final form [4] .
In September 1941, the T-60 tank, 9 days after being put into service, was equipped with a prototype TNSh-20, which at that time had the ShVAK-Tank index [4] .
In parallel with the development of the production of guns, its refinement was carried out, including taking into account the results of front-line use, in connection with which it was officially adopted on December 1, and on January 1, 1942 received the designation TNSh-1, later they became known as TNSh-20, mass production was transferred at Plant No. 2 [3] [5] [6] .

Construction Description
TNSh-20 was located in the turret of the tank with a significant shift to the right about the axis, which increased the convenience of guidance, this fact forced to make changes in the readings of the TMFP-1 telescopic sight .
Feed band : 754 rounds (13 boxes: 7 boxes in the rack on the bottom of the fighting compartment, 1 box behind the driver's seat, 1 box at the gun, a rack with 4 boxes on the left side [6] ) [3] . The angle of vertical guidance -5 ... + 27 Β° [2] .
The basis of the design was the wing ShVAK, the barrel was borrowed from the motor-cannon, the turret was reloaded, the trigger mechanism, sight and rear plate were re-created [4] .
TNS-20 allowed for certain skills to conduct a single shooting [3] .

Application
This type of gun was equipped with a light tank T-60 , T-38 and two - turret T-26 , since January 1942 they re - equipped the T-30 and T-40 , in the case of receipt of tanks for large repairs [1] .
