Biography

In the Drama Theater. A.S. Pushkin in Leningrad Muzil served more than half a century - from 1930 to 1987 and during his work at the theater he staged more than thirty performances based on the plays of Russian and Soviet classics: “ The Marriage ” by Gogol, “The Tales of the Old Arbat "by A. Arbuzov ," Winners of the Night "by I. Shtok [1] ," Before Sunset "by G. Hauptmann ," The Work You Serve "by Y. German ," At Night without the Stars "by A. Stein," Rush Hour " Jerzy Stawinski, “Justice is my craft” L. Zhukhovitsky . His last production was a play based on the novel by A. Haley - “Airport”.

I had the deepest respect for Muzilla and was happy when he invited me to play Inken in the play “Before Sunset”, where I met such wonderful actors as Lydia Petrovna Shtykan and Nikolai Konstantinovich Simonov. Naturally, at that time I was very worried - from fear, constriction, because I had never communicated with such brilliant artists. I am grateful to the Musil primarily as a person - it was he who invited me to the Pushkin Theater.
Pedagogical activity
Since 1950, Musil was a professor of directing at the Leningrad Theater Institute (since 1962 - LGITMiK ), in 1974 - 1980 he was the dean of the drama department. Through his theater teachers: N. V. Petrova, S. E. Radlov and V. N. Solovyov - was considered the heir and conductor of V. E. Meyerhold's theatrical traditions in theater art.
Among his pupils were such outstanding cultural figures as Yuri Kopylov , Arkady Katz , Alexei German Sr. , Leonid Menaker , Igor Maslennikov , Gennady Oporkov , Isaac Shtokbant , David Liburkin , Larisa Malevannaya , Anatoly Praudin , Grigory Dityatkovsky , Victor Sudarushkin , and Alexander Dz others.
