Chelyabinsk TPP-3 is a cogeneration plant (a type of thermal power plant) located in the North-East of the city of Chelyabinsk . It is part of PJSC Fortum (formerly TGK-10), whose main shareholder is the Finnish energy concern Fortum .

Description
Chelyabinsk TPP-3 is located in the north-eastern part of the city of Chelyabinsk , in the Traktorozavodsky district (on the northern shore of Lake Pervoe). Occupied territory: 62.3 ha.
The first power unit ChTETs-3 with a capacity of 180 MW was commissioned on April 1, 1996. In December 2006, the second similar power unit was launched; in June 2011, the third, combined cycle gas turbine unit with an electric capacity of 216.3 MW.
100% of the fuel balance of the station is natural gas.
Installed capacity: electric - 593 MW, thermal - 1307 MW.
The following equipment was installed at ChTETs-3:
- 3 power units , two steam and one combined-cycle
- 2 steam boilers ;
- 3 peak hot water boilers .
