Biography

Born February 1, 1913 in a family of teachers.

He graduated from two-year teacher training courses at the Slutsk Pedagogical College ( 1931 ).

Until 1935, he worked as a teacher in the town of Lapichi (now Osipovichi district of the Mogilev region ).

He graduated from the Leningrad (Military Medical Academy named after S. M. Kirov) | Military Medical Academy]] ( 1941 ).

During World War II, he fought first on the West , and then on the 3rd Belorussian Front .

After the war, he served as a military doctor in the air force. Demobilized in 1963 . He lived in Minsk.

Creativity

He made his debut with stories in 1932 . In 1938 - 1939 he published several stories and the novel "Youth" (the magazine "Polymya"). Books of short stories, short stories “Morning” ( 1949 ), “The First to Meet The Sun” ( 1957 ), “Five Days” ( 1959 ), “A Million Height Above Us” ( 1965 ), the novel “Roads Without Traces” ( 1969 ) were published “The sky is locked” (favorites, 1974 , 1984 ). The life and military exploits of Soviet pilots are the main theme of the writer's work. Member of the joint venture of the USSR since 1951 .
