Creativity
M. Burshtin was one of the leading pianists-performers of the republic, the first performer of many piano and chamber-instrumental works by Kyrgyz authors.
Member of the Union of Composers of Kyrgyzstan [4] since 1969 , Israel (since 1993 ). Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan ( 1990 ).
The work of M. Burshtin is vast and diverse. The composer's interests go beyond the usual circle of figurative and genre representations that have developed in the Kyrgyz professional musical art. The composer boldly experiments with genre art models of the past and present, using radically new means of music of the 20th century in the fields of form, fret, harmony, polyphony, metro rhythm, instrumentation. And if in the early works these experiments did not characterize the style of the author yet, it was not always possible to see the author's “face” behind them, then in the works of recent years Burshtin achieved (without abandoning the experiment) organic and artistic persuasiveness. Focusing on them, we can talk about the author’s gradually crystallizing style. With all the diversity of creative aspirations, one of the main qualities of Burshtin’s music should be emphasized - in many compositions by composers he creatively refracts the traditions of Kyrgyz folk music.
