History
The rural settlement was established on the basis of the Law of the Lipetsk Region dated 02.07.2004 No. 114-OZ “On the Granting of Municipalities in the Lipetsk Region with the Status of an Urban District, Municipal District, Urban and Rural Settlement”. The boundaries of the settlement are determined by the Law of the Lipetsk Region dated September 23, 2004 No. 126-OZ “On Establishing the Borders of Municipalities of the Lipetsk Region”.

The head of the administration is Sergey Alexandrovich Chernikov.
Economics
Most of the agricultural land of the settlement is cultivated by Terbuny-Agro LLC, part of the land belongs to peasant farms.
On the territory of the settlement there are 3 shops PO "Mercury", 5 pavilions.
Education and Culture
In the settlement there are: a comprehensive school (until 2010 a secondary school), a kindergarten, a cultural center and a library.
In the village of Soldatskoye in 1815, the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady was built at the expense of parishioners. In 1895, the church was expanded with an extension of the refectory and aisles. Its reconstruction is currently underway.

On the territory of the settlement there are 2 feldsher-midwife points.
