Khaybar KH 2002 is an Iranian assault rifle built on bullpup layout based on the DIO S-5.56 , which in turn is a copy of the American M16 assault rifle . With the exception of changes in the trigger caused by a change in layout, the KH 2002 automation repeats that of the M16A1. KH 2002 is notable for the inconvenient location of the fuse-translator firing modes, as well as the difficulty of using left-handed people . The machine is equipped with folding bipod ; a bayonet-knife can also be attached to it. There are three weapon options that differ only in barrel length.

The main difference between KH 2002 and DIO S-5.56 is the bullpup layout, which significantly reduced the total length of the weapon.
Design and Function
The automation of the Khaybar KH 2002 rifle completely repeats the M16A1 system, adjusted for changes in the trigger mechanism caused by moving the fire control handle and trigger forward under the barrel.
KH 2002 has gas exhaust automation with direct removal of powder gases from the barrel into the body of the shutter. Rotary shutter, with 7 combat stops.
Fire modes - single shots and bursts. Fuse - translator of shooting modes is located behind the store receiver, on the left side of the receiver, almost at the butt plate of the butt.
Established sights are mounted on the carrying handle, on which optical and night sights can also be mounted. Weapons are powered from detachable magazines compatible with the American M16 rifle with a capacity of 20 and 30 rounds. The rifle is equipped with a bayonet-knife, folding bipod, a strap for carrying weapons.
Options
Khaybar KH 2002 is available in three versions that differ only in barrel length and naturally in total weapon length:
- standard version - with a total length of 780 mm weapons.
- carbine - with a total weapon length of 730 mm.
- shortened version - with a total length of weapons of 680 mm.
