The program copies the structure of a regular news release. The host, who is in the studio, reads out short announcements, and also gives an “inclusion from the scene”. Away correspondents (agents) appear on the air with their prepared reports, or live from the scene. The presenter in the studio communicates with the reporter on the spot, learns the details, and also links all the stories in one line according to the rubrics and summarizes the reports of the correspondents. In addition, the program contains special headings and reports, as well as sports news, culture and weather forecasts; advertising is possible. At the end of the “news release,” the presenter summarizes the broadcast. The humorous component is based on a parody of recognizable elements of a news release.

Creation History
For the first time, a parody of the news “Ural dumplings” was made in 2006 - to the regional news broadcast “Vesti-Ural”. Four such issues were prepared, which were aired on the Russia-Ural TV channel. The program was completely stylized as a Vesti-Ural news release - the screen saver and scenery were used, as well as the structure of the Vesti-Ural program. In 2007, together with Comedy Club Production and Vokrug Sveta-Production, Ural Pelmeni began to launch a news broadcast for TNT . The premiere took place on September 23, 2007. In the fall of 2007, 6 issues were planned. The show "News" showed very high ratings [1] [2] [3] , only slightly inferior to the most popular programs on the TNT channel [4] , and it was decided to put it on the television network next year.

Subsequent episodes of the show showed lower ratings. In addition, the TNT leadership had claims against Sergei Netievsky as the host of the show: according to them, "he did not give any necessary emotion, he is uninteresting." After the financial crisis, the production of the show was discontinued [11] [12] .
In total, 23 issues of the Show News were created. Six issues were released in September – October 2007, five issues in August – September 2009 (7, 20–23 issues) and two issues in August 2010 (17–18 issues) [13] . 8-16 and 19 issues were not shown on the air.
The journalist of the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda Pavel Sadkov wrote about the short fate of the program:
“Ex-cavemen prepared the Show News program, where they read“ unusual news ”in the evening, that is, actually parody news shows. It turned out on the C grade, but for a different reason. The children lacked the rigidity and frankness adopted on TNT ... ” [14] .
In 2016, a columnist for Novaya Gazeta , Slava Taroshchina, commented on the broadcast in a positive way:
“About 10 years ago, when television had not yet been stripped to a state of insanity, the Show News program was released. It was a very funny parody of informational and analytical broadcasting. The author and presenter Sergey Netievsky, a kaveenshchik from Ural Dumplings, did not get tired of repeating: "We are cool professionals, we have our hands to the elbow in the news." “Dumplings” turned out to be visionaries, as a result of which the transfer did not last long. The image of a television guru, in which unprincipledness successfully combines with cynicism and incompetence, migrated from parody to reality. The only thing that talented authors could not predict was the degree of aggression of those who are bent on the news ” [15] .
Sergei Netievsky considers the comedy show “The Ear of Moscow”, a month later renamed the News Battle Prevention, which aired on the channel “ Moscow 24 ” in 2016-2017, a direct heir to the “Show News” [16] .
